Using the tools

Is Image2File free to use?

Yes, every tool on Image2File is free with no account required. There are no subscriptions, no trial periods and no watermarks added to your files. You can convert, compress and resize as many files as you need without registering or providing an email address.

Do I need to install any software?

No. Every tool runs in your web browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. There is nothing to download or install. Open the tool page, add your file, and download the result. A current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge is all you need.

Privacy and your files

Are my files uploaded to your server?

No. Your files are processed entirely inside your own browser and are never transmitted to our servers. Nothing is uploaded, stored or seen by us at any point. Because the work happens on your device, your documents stay private even on an unsecured network.

How long do you keep my files?

We never receive your files, so there is nothing for us to keep. Processing happens locally in your browser and the file disappears from memory when you close or refresh the tab. Downloaded results are saved only where your browser puts them, on your own device.
